In the early years of the 20th Century, Green Haven in northern Anne Arundel County became a popular recreational destination. The area included a stretch of a river that flowed into the Chesapeake Bay and boats transported passengers between Baltimore City to Green Haven. In the late 1920s, several BAYL members jointly purchased a lot in the community and built a summer home for family society members to enjoy.
